At LITTLEWINE HQ, it's no secret that we're mad about wines from the Jura. There's just something about this tiny French region that is utterly spellbinding; once you're down the rabbit hole, there's no turning back. A new generation of growers have been inspired by the likes of the region's icons (such as Overnoy, Labet and Ganevat), and are tending their land thoughtfully; preserving old vines and working with organic, biodynamic and permaculture philosophies.
As a neighbour to Burgundy, and with similar soil types, you find beautiful expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay there. The region is also home to the ancient indigenous white variety, Savagnin, and red varieties Poulsard and Trousseau, all three of which stole our hearts a long time ago.
