Chardonnay 'La Mamette' 2018
A Wine That
shows what Chardonnay can do in Burgundy's little sister region, the Jura. Sometimes, all we crave is Chardonnay, and this ticks all the boxes. Fresh dough, sea salt flakes and just a tiny hint of butter. Yumminess squared..

Where and How?
This is Chardonnay, from 40/50-year-old vines planted on marl and limestone soils, just south of Arbois.
The wine ferments natually, and is aged in old oak barrels for 15 months (topped up, so fresh in style).
The Winemaker: Les Granges Paquenesses
She tends her vineyards of Savagnin, Chardonnay, Trousseau and Poulsard organically with biodynamic methods. Her wines are made as hands-off as possible, ageing in older oak barrels and being bottled unfined and unfiltered. She picks a little earlier than average, resulting in taut, mineral, focused wines. Her Savagnin is one of LITTLEWINE’s all-time favourite expressions of the variety: see for yourself!
