Where and How?
This is a Nouveau wine - meaning a young wine that is released in the same year that it was harvested (always on the third Thursday of November in Beaujolais' case). It is a fun wine made to celebrate the hard work of the growers, and it's the first wine that gives an insight into the vintage.
Château Cambon was originally a project between Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Claude Chanudet and Joseph Chamonard, who purchased the property in 1995, restoring the vineyard to full health. These days, it is Marcel’s wife, Marie (Marcel sadly passed away), and their son, Mathieu, who manages it.
