Where and How?
This is a field blend of the white varieties found in the same vineyard for 'Lomba dos Ares.' The name is a play on Galician words, meaning “Con as brancas”, or “with the whites”.
The vineyards are located on steep terraces along the steep slopes of the rivers Sil and Bibei at high elevation (700-750m) and these are special old vines (60-80 yo) that the Fedellos trio are reviving and saving.
The grapes are picked as a field blend and macerated together while the wine ferments naturally (a portion fermented on the skins to give texture). Aged for 12 months on the lees in neutral oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

The Fedellos do Couto group of winemakers have been regenerating old vine parcels across the Ribeira Sacra, creating beautiful wines from the likes of Bastarda (Trousseau) and Mencía. With a natural winemaking approach - unfined, unfiltered, with just a touch of sulphur - these are some of Spain's most exciting wines.
