Grand Ordinaire 2020
A Wine That
is ever so pure, so refreshing, so thirst-quenching and approachable. Think cherries, strawberries and a splash of herbal tea mingling on the gentle slopes of Baden in Germany. An atypical expression of Pinot Noir for bright, sunny days — serve it chilled to max out that pleasure..

Where and How?
This is Pinot Noir grown on German soils, aka Spätburgunder. As the duo cut their teeth in Burgundy, they know Pinot clones differs enormously, hence they label this by its German name. This fruit comes from three vineyards, all on loess soils & organically farmed. The majority comes from the Kaiserstuhl, with the other two sites located just south of Staufen, on the foothills of the Black Forest.
100% carbonic maceration for 10 days after which the grapes were pressed and aged in stainless steel tanks until Spring 2021. Unfined, unfiltered and bottled without SO2.
The Winemaker: Wasenhaus
Alexander Götze, a landscaper-turned-winemaker, and Christoph Wolber, who’d decided that viticulture was the most exciting form of agriculture, had each found their own way to Meursault. There, they would become united in a new mission: to see if they could create some Burgundian-inspired magic of their own, in Germany.
