A Wine That
combines the best of both worlds. Most vintages mean tiny yields from Florian's oldest parcels which means blending them together to have enough to fill up a full barrel. In the case of Liaison it means a tiny parcel of limestone rich soils in combination with a parcel characterized by sandstone soil - the result - pure world class Pinot Noir - the kind of wine that envys the Frenchies..

Where and How?
The “Liaison” is the meeting of limestone and sandstone — from two vineyards of 45-year-old vines to bring these two elements together as one. Some parts are left whole bunch, some destemmed, and the berries macerate with the juice for around three weeks, fermenting naturally. The wine is then aged in old Burgundy barrels for 18 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The Winemaker: Enderle & Moll
Whether consciously or subconsciously, often this means they’re entering the boxing ring with the Burgundies. But rather than trying to copy their style - by following a certain protocol or by adding new oak - it’s often through simplicity that the most exciting examples are made.
Florian Moll and Sven Enderle have always been about simplicity; although at first, it was simplicity through necessity. They couldn’t afford a fancy crusher, but also — why buy a fancy crusher when you can stomp the grapes with your feet?
