Where and How?
Domaine Majas is based in the commune of Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes within the Côtes Catalanes on the foothills of the Pyrénées Orientales. The vineyards are planted on a variety of schist, volcanic and limestone soils.
The Winemaker
Back in the early 1990s Alain and Agnès Carrère founded the Domaine Majas that today consists of 30 hectares. A decade later and with a lot of frustration with converntional farming they met a young man named Tom Lubbe who would later support them to change their approach in farming and winemaking. Today the Domaine is proud to be working organically with the intention to bottle true representations of the Côtes Catalanes with minimal intervention.
