A Wine That
according to Alex was made from 'beautiful and perfectly looking grapes' in 2018. The 'Möhlin' vineyards always yields majestic and powerful wines that are meant for aging and plenty of time in barrel. If you like your masculine Pinots this is right up your street, of course, as always with that certain kind of freshness à la Wasenhaus..

Where and How?
Pinot Noir from the limestone rich, sunny and South-facing vineyard site 'Möhlin'. Grapes are harvested by hand. 90% of the 2018 vintage has been macerated as whole bunches (Alex and Christoph had 'picture-perfect' grapes that made the decision to work with stems easy) - after pressing the wine stays in small Burgundy barrels for 18 months before bottling.
The Winemaker: Wasenhaus
Alexander Götze, a landscaper-turned-winemaker, and Christoph Wolber, who’d decided that viticulture was the most exciting form of agriculture, had each found their own way to Meursault. There, they would become united in a new mission: to see if they could create some Burgundian-inspired magic of their own, in Germany.
