Note di Bianco 2020 — Grillo
A Wine That
is all about brightness and sunshine; a much-needed sunray and a real energy booster. Think fresh pear juice, with a dash of grapefruit rind and a sprinkling of sea salt. The kind of wine that goes down oh-so easily... if only we could have it on tap!

Where and How?
This comes from the contrada Pietra Rinosa, from 15-year-old vines, planted at 250m on clay.
The grapes were harvested early to preserve freshness, and the grapes were directly pressed. The juice then fermented naturally in stainless steel and was bottled in January with very low sulfites (20ppm).
Alessandro Viola is one of the stars of the Sicilian wine scene. Through a deep love for nature and a gentle touch, he crafts some of Sicily's most elegant wines from Alcamo — halfway between Trapani and Palermo — in northwestern Sicily. Although Sicily is known for its sun and riper wines, this segment of the island is home to cool sea breezes, which means that white wines have been the tradition for the area. Focused on the local biodiversity and local grape varieties, this is a little piece of well-preserved Sicilian heritage, which — in Alessandro's hands — creates wines that are nothing short of magic.
