Note di Rosso 2020
A Wine That
shows the juicy side of Sicilian red wine — but while it's fun and playful in structure, it still has a ton of complexity. Think raspberries and cherries meets sea mist with a twist of oregano. Gluggable and moreish, this is your go-to pizza party wine.

Where and How?
The Nero d'Avola, Syrah and Nerello Mascalese vines for this cuvée grow on calcareous clay soils in Contrada Pietra Rinosa near Alcamo at an altitude of 220m. The vines are 11 years old.
The grapes macerated for ten days in stainless steel tanks, where natural fermentation began. The wine was then aged in chestnut tonneaux for six months.
Alessandro Viola is one of the stars of the Sicilian wine scene. Through a deep love for nature and a gentle touch, he crafts some of Sicily's most elegant wines from Alcamo — halfway between Trapani and Palermo — in northwestern Sicily. Although Sicily is known for its sun and riper wines, this segment of the island is home to cool sea breezes, which means that white wines have been the tradition for the area. Focused on the local biodiversity and local grape varieties, this is a little piece of well-preserved Sicilian heritage, which — in Alessandro's hands — creates wines that are nothing short of magic.
