Where and How?

This is Cabernet Franc from 60-year-old vines from the "Le Bordage" parcel in the heart of Anjou.
Winemaking is very gentle; infusion style. The berries are destemmed and the wine ferments naturally while macerating. Aged in old oak barrels.

The Winemaker: Clos des Plantes

Olivier Lejeune travelled the world working in the gaming industry, before deciding that actually the world of farming and making wine — being a vigneron — was for him. Thanks to a stroke of luck (or is it destiny?) he was able to find his magical old vineyards thanks to a nudge from iconic biodynamic farmer-winemaker, Mark Angeli. With his vines, he is creating some of the most compelling wines the region has seen — the future is bright for this young man.
