A Wine That
put young Pierre Ménard on the map for fine wine. Think of it as his breakthrough gold medal. With a touch of honey and an almond peel goodness with a bright salty crunch, this is a dry Chenin with deep character: no compromises.

Where and How?
This is organically farmed Chenin Blanc from the Clos des Mailles parcel, planted on schist. Naturally fermented and aged in large oak barrels for 12 months, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The Winemaker: Pierre Ménard
Pierre Ménard is one of those rare, quiet visionaries. A thinker, you can tell he philosophises over much more than simply what's in the glass. Having converted some of his parents' vines to organics, he is now going from strength to strength in his self-built winery, crafting some of the most compelling Chenins and Cabernets to come out of the Loire in recent years.
