Le Quart des Noëls 2018
A Wine That
is one of the front runners for the Battle of the Chenins. From 100-year-old vines, this packs every element of Chenin into a single sip. Think pear flesh, a mineral tang, sea salt and peach skin all rolled into one. Drum roll, please.

Where and How?
This is the coup de coeur of Pierre's vineyards; 100-year-old organically farmed Chenin Blanc planted on schist.
Fermented naturally and aged in barrels for more than a year, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The Winemaker: Pierre Ménard
Pierre Ménard is one of those rare, quiet visionaries. A thinker, you can tell he philosophises over much more than simply what's in the glass. Having converted some of his parents' vines to organics, he is now going from strength to strength in his self-built winery, crafting some of the most compelling Chenins and Cabernets to come out of the Loire in recent years.
