Where and How?
This comes from younger vines of Nero d'Avola, planted at 250m elevation in clay and sandy soils.
The wine fermented naturally in stainless steel, and was aged for six months. Bottled unfiltered.
Alessandro Viola is one of the stars of the Sicilian wine scene. Through a deep love for nature and a gentle touch, he crafts some of Sicily's most elegant wines from Alcamo — halfway between Trapani and Palermo — in northwestern Sicily. Although Sicily is known for its sun and riper wines, this segment of the island is home to cool sea breezes, which means that white wines have been the tradition for the area. Focused on the local biodiversity and local grape varieties, this is a little piece of well-preserved Sicilian heritage, which — in Alessandro's hands — creates wines that are nothing short of magic.
