Where and How?
This comes from biodynamically farmed Savagnin vines, planted on clay-limestone soils, ploughed by horse.
The grapes were destemmed, and the juice fermented naturally and was aged in old barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without sulfites.
The Winemaker: Domaine des Bodines
The winemakes and farmers of Domaine des Bordines, Alexis and Emile, grew up in the Jura. Originally, Alexis had studied petro- chemistry, but took a drastic 180-turn to work in wine instead. He learnt how to farm and make wine with the iconic Domaine de la Tournelle, then did a winemaking and viticulture degree in Beaune. Their own domaine was born in 2010 when they managed to purchase their three hectares in Arbois.
