Where and How?
This is organically tended 70% Frappato and 30% Nero d'Avola, Sicily's indigenous gems, planted in Vittoria, in the south.
Mainly destemmed fruit which ferments naturally with a 15-day maceration period. Aged in concrete tanks before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The Winemaker: Arianna Occhipinti
Arianna Occhipinti is renowned for her compelling, heart-tugging pure wines that show Sicily like no other. Working to safeguard and to put the native varieties of Frappato and Grillo on the mainstage, she's already achieved more recognition that most dream of in a lifetime.
She may be determined, but she's also got the kindest soul. You only have to meet her growing pack of rescue dogs to realise that this Sicilian has a heart of gold.
