Teroldego Morei 2018
A Wine That
holds its cards close to its chest at first, but then reveals itself bit by bit. A plush nose of wet flowers and roses, with a cherry skin bite and a lingering savoury, olive-like twist, it's the wine that keeps on giving.

- Winemaker: Foradori
Where and How?
The Morei is one of the new Foradori single vineyard cuvées. The grapes are grown biodynamically on the Campo Rotaliano plateau, a broad, flat, sunny, well-drained expanse of limestone-and-granite-rich vineyards tucked up at high altitude in the shadow of the Dolomites.
The grapes are destemmed and the wine is aged for eight months in amphorae on the skins.
The Winemaker: Foradori
Elisabetta Foradori is an institution in herself. A winemaking powerhouse. The OG keeper of the Teroldego grape, Elisabetta is largely responsible for the preservation and diversification of the variety.
These days, Foradori is a family affair. In recent years, Elisabetta was joined by sons Emilio and Theo (who LITTLEWINE spoke to for this article) and daughter Myrtha. They now help to run the estate and have brought to the table, as Elisabetta did back in 1984, a fresh perspective on biodynamics and permaculture, which enables the winery to keep on evolving—just as it has done since 1934.
