Terroir de Saint-Alban 2020
£27.00
A Wine That
perfectly brings Savoie's native grape varieties Jacquère and Altesse together. Thanks to the Jacquère, the wine bursts of energy, while the Altesse brings a lovely texture and intriguing complexity. Think fresh hay and wet stones on the nose followed by a razor sharp acidity on the palate. Simply put: It's amazing terroir in the glass.

Where and How?
This is a blend of Jacquère (50%) and Altesse (50%) from the Saint-Alban Leysse terroir at the foot of the Bauges massif. Fermentation and ageing took place in a combination of vats (66%) and barrels (33%), and the wine was bottles unfiltered and without added sulphur.
The Winemaker
Camille & Mathieu Apffel have been tending their own vines in Savoie since 2018. They make wines that are gentle, subtle and nuanced and bring the mountainous slopes and native varieties into the glass.
