Where and How?

This comes from grapes purchased from the biodynamic Paul Humbrecht estate in Alsace. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone.
The grapes were comacerated in stainless steel vats for four weeks. The wine fermented naturally, and aged in stainless. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without added sulfites — just grape juice

The Winemaker: Patrice Beguet

Patrice Beguet is originally from the Jura. He trained as an I.T. consultant, having studied Applied Mathematics, and lived and worked in London for a while. This all changed in 2007, however, when he decided to take a viticulture and winemaking course at a wine school in Montpellier. That was that — he was smitten, and decided to do internships at wineries to further hone his craft. In 2009, he returned to the Jura and bought some parcels of Savagnin and Poulsard. He also began a négociant business, where he buys grapes from organic and biodynamic winemaker friends. He is a big fan of jazz, playing the trombone himself, so you'll often find a jazz reference in the names of his wines.
